ABOUT

Built by simulation people, for simulation people.

SimCert Practice Hub helps healthcare simulation professionals prepare for the CHSOS and CHSE certification exams with original scenario questions, clear explanations, and progress by blueprint domain.

Who builds SimCert

SimCert is published by BrainNet Consulting Inc., a healthcare simulation consultancy in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

The platform is led by Ferooz Sekandarpoor, Principal Consultant at BrainNet Consulting. He has more than 20 years of experience in simulation center design, A/V and IT planning, and operations. He founded the BC Simulation Network, served as President and Vice-President of SimGHOSTS, and has consulted on more than 29 simulation and health-education facilities in Canada, the United States, and internationally.

How questions are written and reviewed

  1. Written to the blueprint. Every question is original and maps to a domain of the 2024 SSH CHSOS or CHSE examination blueprint.
  2. Explained. Each answer explains why the best option is right and why the others fall short, with a published reference where one applies.
  3. Checked. New questions get an independent fact check before release. Edits to live questions wait for a reviewer, and nobody approves their own edit.
  4. Improved by learners. Anyone can report a problem on a question. Reports go to the review queue, and fixes are tracked by version.
  5. Measured. Questions answered correctly by fewer than 25 percent or more than 95 percent of learners get flagged for review.

What SimCert is not

SimCert is an independent study resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). It contains no actual, recalled, or live exam questions, and using it does not guarantee a passing score. Practice certificates record study activity only.
